Empty Nest?

You’ve looked after them for 18 years through the good times and the bad. You’ve been a parent, teacher, mentor, confidant, taxi service, chief cook and bottle washer and now they’ve gone. There’s a strange stillness around the home as you take down the to-do list, take a deep breath and wonder, ‘what next?’.

“Empty nest syndrome”, the sense of loss which most parents feel, is normal and although in rare cases it could lead to depression or marital conflict, mostly it’s a chance to take stock, make more time for you, see friends, develop new skills and insights, take up new interests or challenges at work.

If any of that resonates but you’re not sure which way to turn then take that time to turn issues and challenges into insights and opportunity for personal growth and fulfilment and talk to a qualified counsellor and coach.

As a qualified coach and counsellor with the last of three kids through uni, I am the new addition to the team at swissphysio supporting holistic health and well-being.

If you would like to simply talk things through to make sense of an issue or work toward a specific goal which can bring confidence, peace of mind and, ultimately, more meaning to life then please get in touch by emailing Sharon Taylor on shar.taylor@outlook.com or contact Swissphysio by telephone on 0191 2960 567 or email: info@swissphysio.co.uk to talk to one of the team.
